Christmas preparations

This year Ronja really enjoyed the weeks ahead of christmas - including visits to the christmas markets with her Oma, cutting and decorating the tree, baking cookies, learning and singing all the songs (her jingle bells version has an orange sleigh btw - we cannot convince her about the one-horse-open sleigh version ;-) )

Nikolaus, Nikolaus huckepack

as every year in Germany there comes the man with the white beard to check if you have been nice or naughty, shouts a little bit with you and brings you in the end a small gift with some chocolate, nuts and oranges. This time Emma and Ronja where really impressed. Emma gave all her pacifiers to him - and the Ronja's poem was presented perfectly (Nikolaus, Nikolaus huckepack - komm herein mit deinem Sack - schuette deine Sachen aus, gute Kinder sind im Haus!) Thanks for your visit dear St. Nic!

Another first - Ice skating

Another first - Ronja seriously wanted to try ice skating - after some tears in the beginning she figured it out and liked it a lot!

St. Martin - Lantern parade

This year Ronja even met some of her friends
(Josephine and Mia Sophie) from Kindergarden for the lantern walk to celebrate St. Martin - and obviously enjoyed it :-)

Gym Class

Without words - a typical gym class with little miss all over the place...

Just a friday...Tessa's party and the circus

It was just a Friday - first a birthday party for Tessa (she turned 2) with some fun and playing with Emma as well....followed by a long night in the circus. With elefants, tigers, camels, acrobats and more - Ronja did not want to go home and stayed til the grand finale at 11pm!

Thailand - Beach life

On Koh Phangan Ronja enjoyed the sunshine and water a lot - our cottage was 5m from the pool and 20m from the beach - what else do you need? Well the hammock on your porch, googles (to see the fish), her swim belt to run to the pool and jump in (and not to drown) ...and some swings at the palms along the beach - nice! ...and every night a lovely sunset...
One trip let us to a lake where they had trampolins in the water - to jump on and in - very nice!

Thailand - new things to see and explore

In Thailand Ronja could see a lot of new things - how people cook along the street (and that those chicken BBQ sticks were very yummy ;-) - the grasshoppers not that much...

The Temples with the golden Buddhas she loved (sat still in front of them completely fascinated)

She joined us for cooking class and loved to watch her friend "A" to prepare Sushi...

She got the opportunity to sign a golden book for the kings birthday...

as well as to fill up gas for our little scooter - you buy it by the bottle and the pic shows a typical "gas station"

sometimes she met local kids in her age to play a bit with - one night she run with Kon for an hour along the market street

Thai massages are something typical - Ronja really lay down for a full hour to enjoy her massage and the fish spa with cleaning fish was just fun!
