At the duck race

6000 ducks were in the race in downtown Esslingen. A whole truckload into the river - and all collected in the end - ours didn't make it in the top 10 - but it was fun to see the race. And Ronja was happy to meet her friend Neela in the crowd.

Emma for a sleepover at Ronja's

Finally - her friend Emma (including her little sister Ida and her parents) stayed at our house for a sleep over. While the parents enjoyed the evening the little ones were excited to sleep in one room and played very long and happy in their PJs the next morning...

Happy Easter Biking

This year the easter bunny brought a big gift: a "real" bicycle - she got too big for her old "Laufrad". Easter bunny "hit" the new bike behind a tree and Ronja nearly missed it :-)

She jumped right on - and after 200 yards she started to ride it all by herself - amazing, no training necessary! So far no big crash - only tired parents - because we had to go outside 3 times for long jog-walks to keep up with her yesterday ....the weather this Easter was cold and windy - Ronja did not care - next morning at 7am: "Can we go with my bike again?"

Bambini Run Berlin

Ronja finished her second race - this time in Berlin a 500m Bambini Run at the former airport Tempelhof. As part of the Half Marathon weekend she joined the group of the up t0 4 year olds for a round on the airfield around an old airplane. This time she wanted to run all by herself. She could barely wait for the gun - and yes it was freezing cold, even the little warm up dance did not help - her hands stayed in her sleeves the whole time. Good job little girl! Guess she enjoyed the bungee trampoline afterwards even more ;-)
