Ronja's vacation in Sardinia

What an adventure - Ronja's vacation in Sardinia was fun - yummy food (pasta, icecream, chocolate and more), lots of swimming, sunshine and beaches, some sightseeing and biking...she even loved to clean our little vacation homes...the trip itself was exciting - the ferry to run around and a great stop on to of the St. Bernadino in Switzerland.

Weekend with my old friend Anton

Finally Ronja could meet her old buddy Anton again - during the Detroit expat reunion in Thueringen. After 4 months the two of them were eager to play together, sat for hours in the radio flyer while we pulled them along our hike (without hitting each other), Ronja even walking next to her sleeping friend, both ran around for hours, waved the flags for our German soccer team together and as you can see - even kissed each other ;-) This is true friendship!

Let's wait and see how little Tessa develops and at the next expat weekend she will join the fun!

I am 2!

Yesterday I turned two! And finally I got my bike and I love it! The helmet is awesome and I would really love to wear it all day long....had a great birthday party yesterday with my grandparents and lots of friends - played til I collapsed and in the end my friend Emma cleaned up the empty beer bottles ;-) while I was already asleep.

Thank you all so much for your birthday wishes, calls, cards and all the gifts!

My friends from Turino!

This weekend my friends Adrian and Jolie from Turino (that I still know from Michigan) were visiting us - it was fun to go sightseeing in Esslingen, check out the young swans and go to the races (check more pictures on my parents website)

Lets go Germany!

With these young fans Germany will definitely have enough support to win the world cup :-)

Alicia in Germany

Our friend Alicia spent a view days in Germany - it was great to see her and Ronja enjoyed the evening running around in Tilman's backyard playing hide and seek!

Summer is finally here - Swimming!!!!

Finally it is warm enough to go to the public pool or even better - drive to a nearby lake with a beach.

The water is still cold but Ronja loves it and cannot get enough of swimming...

and to build a sandcastle is a serious mission :-)
