This years annual pumpkin exhibition in Lubwigsburg was all about sports - quite amazing what you can built with pumpkins :-)

Fun getting lost - corn maze adventure

One way in - four treasures to find and plenty of fun getting lost. There were too many possibilities of left or right - but we had a blast and made it out again :-)

A windy climb for a nice view

Todays bikinhg trip went all the way to this windy and a bit shaking tower (Killesberg) that Ronja finally dared to climb - to see all the way in the distance our house and the way we biked through the vineyards to get there

Why not - she came, took them on and skated...and sometimes it is good that she wears those pads...

Trip to the US - a tribute to Michigan

From Florida we flew to Michigan. Back in the "D" - Ronja couldn't remember it since we moved when she was 1,5 years old. So we showed her downtown Detroit (Mama why does it smoke on the streets here? It was 90 Fahrenheit!)

 At our wonderful hosts' house we had a great time in Northville - Ronja spent all day long playing with her buddy Anton - splashing each other in the backyard, enjoying a swim in their neighborhood lake and meeting her parents friends.

back in our old house which was empty...

We celebrated the 4th July weekend in Saugatuck and at Lake Michigan with our hosts

 ...digging sandcastles at the beach...

 getting sandy allover...

 and sometimes a quick break to warm up after swimming in that still cold lake...

 an afternoon in Holland (where they build a little Dutch village) and offer some fun rides for the kids

 as well as dressing up (Frau Antje wuerde blass werden ;-) )

 

Anton and Ronja sometimes played with little Moritz too - here as police officers they had to watch him ;-)

Ronja had an excellent time in Michigan - thank you dear family Hildebrand for having us!

Trip to the US - Florida Keys and Miami

Our trip let us all the way down the Keys to the Southernmost point of the continental US (with the obligatory picture!). On our way we saw beautiful beaches (like Bahia Honda State Park) and enjoyed playing around under water a lot! In Miami we swam in one of the most beautiful pools ever (Venetian Pool in Coral Gabels) and were "very cool" at South Beach.
